The Circle B home was built in 1924 by H.F. Hohlt of Brenham, Texas, president of both the First National Bank and the Banner Press Publishing Company. Mr. Hohlt was also the co-founder of the H.F. Hohlt Company, a feed store (later a department store and grocery) located in what is now the Atrium Building on the courthouse square. The house was as a wedding gift for his son, and originally stood at the corner of Ross and Sycamore Streets in Brenham.
In 1995, the Bredthauers moved the house to its present location, completely restoring it, adding additional living areas and a wrap-around porch.
Each of the 3 rooms has a private bathroom. Two of the bedrooms are on the ground floor. The upstairs bedroom has space for a roll-away cot if needed.
Roam the Circle B ranch, fish in any of the many ponds, or pitch some washers. In the barn there's a half-court basketball court and an antique regulation-size pool table that you're welcome to use.
Upon your arrival, enjoy a complimentary beverage on the porch. We invite you to kick up your heels and take in the view from one of these comfortable rockers.
Half way between Brenham and Round Top, in the midst of bluebonnet country . . . we offer easy, back-road access to the antique festivals and other area attractions.
